Field Visit : Berkeley Castle & St Mary the Virgin Church   

Conducted tour of the castle and visit to the church led by David Judd

Field Visit : The Medieval Town of Bristol                                         

Conducted walk with Keith Stenner

Tewkesbury Medieval Festival  We will be promoting the Richard III Society and Gloucester Branch by retaining a display area, in conjunction with the Worcestershire Branch, in the Main Marquee. (The Worcester Branch will operate on Saturday July 12th tbc)

Saturday October 8th 

Branch AGM and John Judde [Part One] 

Illustrated talk by David Judd on his ancester, a London merchant andb Master of the King's Ordnance during the reign of King Henry VI. In this talk, David will discuss his research work into his colourful predecessor.


Saturday November 1st

John Judde [Part Two]

David Judd continues his illustrated talk by describing the loife of John Judde and his violent death at the hands of Yorkists. 

Saturday December 6th

Christmas Gathering

Festive food and drink by way of an informal introduction to the festive season. Venue to be advised later

  • All meetings, unless otherwise indicated, will be held at The Emmanuel Hall, Leckhampton, Cheltenham.
  • Meetings commence at 2:30 pm with the exception of field visits which are by arrangement.
  • As agreed at the AGM, for meetings where there is an outside speaker a charge of £2 (£3 for non-branch members) will be made to cover costs.
